Christmas and my 21st


I had a really good xmas and birthday and got some amazing presents - my mum and dad gave me money and a 32" TV woop and Jace (the boyfriend) gave me a links london friendship bracelet for my 21st and amazing ironfist sugar hiccup heels for my xmas along with tons of other stuff :)

Oh I have been spoiled rotten!

The Mothers Thoughts

So have been speaking to my mum ( who is a really good cook nom nom :) ) to get some recipes and she says she has some good old tried and tested ones that are easy to make (which is handy at the start). So I have a few in the bank for when I first start but have over 300 to collect WOW this is going to be tough :) At least I will be getting all fat over the Xmas period so if the finished product is that bad it'll help me lose a couple a pounds (more like 10 :D ). Although I think most people are doubting I will be able to stick to this haha.

I think I am going to have to create a scoring system also so that recipes can be easily compared to each other such as ease of making, value for money, time spent and of course the most vital TASTE test :)

Well I better get thinking of that in the next couple of days and will update you before I start this beast of a task.

Introduction

My aim is to follow a recipe a day for a year...hmmm is the a wise idea I ask myself, I suppose at least the boyfriend will be well fed (might even add in his ratings) I will use everything from cookbooks to old family recipes and even use Google for a good old random search. Every post will include the vital recipe, pictures of the progress and the final product so you can try for yourself.

This will start on the 01/01/12 - The year I become master chef ;) hehe

Anyway I better get hunting for good/interesting recipes and trust me to pick a leap year to do it in, that'll be one extra eek. If anyone has any recipes for me to try feel free to send them in and if I like the look of them I will do my best to make it and not burn the house down.
